Obituary
MRS. EMMA J. ROBBINS
            Mrs. Emma J. Robbins, wife of Myron W. Robbins of the town of Caton, former chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Steuben county, died at their home at 6:25 o'clock last evening. Mrs. Robbins had been ill of heart trouble since July and her condition as been critical for several days. Though her death was not unexpected it is a shock to her many friends.
            Deceased was born in Morris, Otsego County, October 8, 1847, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Wellman. Her parents moved to Caton when she was three years of age and she was a resident of that place until her death. On March 5, 1868, she became the bride of Myron W. Robbins. Their married life was a happy one and from the union three children survive: Mrs. Adah Fish of Caton and Benjamin E. and Harold Robbins of Corning. Deceased is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Sarah A. Johnson of Tioga, Pa., and three brothers Silas E. Wellman of Thurston and Lavelle Wellman and William Wellman of Caton.
            Mrs. Robbins was a kind mother, a loving wife and sympathetic neighbor.  Her death is deeply regretted by the residents of Caton and her acquaintances elsewhere. Mr. Robbins has the sympathy of the community.
            The Funeral will be from the house at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday, Internment in Barnard's Cemetery.
