LEVERE T. LEHMAN
CORNING, NY | LeVere T. Lehman, 85 years of 234 East First St. died Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at the Soldiers & Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan, NY following an extended illness.
He was born June 29, 1916 in Woolrich, PA the son of the late Everett & Nellie Mae Kalmbach Lehman. A lifetime resident of the area attending Painted Post School and Northside High School.
LeVere and Vivian Shepherd were married May 31, 1935 in the North Baptist Church, Corning, NY.
He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force during World War II (1942 - 45) serving as an airplane mechanic.
He was an employee for Corning Inc. working as a machine operator at A Factory retiring in 1981 with 48 years service with the company.
LeVere attended the First Baptist Church of Corning, NY, Corning VFW, American Legion John P. Eaton Post, lifetime member of NRA and AIGWU Local 1000.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Vivian; daughters Joyce (James) Knapp of Corning, NY and Bonnie Tinney of Corning, NY; son Eugene (Cecelia) Lehman of Corning,NY; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; two brothers David (Jean) Lehman of Lindley, NY and Lloyd (Laura) Lehman of Hornby, NY. Also several nieces & nephews.
Friends may call at the Haughey Funeral Home, 216 E. First St., Corning, NY, Saturday, October 20, 2001 from 3-6 pm. Funeral & Committal Services will follow at 6 pm. at the funeral home, Rev. Jerrie Matney, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at the Coopers Plains Cemetery, Coopers Plains, NY.

VIVIAN EUGERTHA LEHMAN
SAYRE, PA | Vivian E. Lehman, 89, of East First Street, Corning, died.Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at Robert Packer Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Knapp and Bonnalyn Tinney, both of Corning; a son, Eugene Lehman of Corning.
Calling hours are noon - 2 p.m. Monday at Haughey Funeral Home, East First Street, Corning.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours at 2 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in the Coopers Plains Cemetery.

VIVIAN EUGERTHA LEHMAN
SAYRE, PA. | Vivian Eugertha Lehman, 89 years, of 236 East First St., Corning, NY died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Robert Packer Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1916 in Presho, N.Y., the daughter of the late William A. and Margaret Brockway Sheperd. She had attended Corning Northside High School and was a lifetime resident of the area.
Vivian and LeVere T. Lehman were married May 31, 1935 in the North Baptist Church of Corning, NY. He predeceased her in October 17, 2001.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corning and served as a Sunday School Teacher for the church for thirty years. For many years she was a member of the Corning Hospital Chapter H, the American Legion Auxillary (for sixty years) and a lifetime member of the Corning Lodge of the Moose Auxillary.
Vivian was truly a caring person, helping others was a joy to her. She gave selfless hours to volunteering at Founders Pavilion and Waters of Three Rivers. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters; Joyce Knapp and Bonnalyn Tinney both of Corning, N.Y. Son and daughter in law: Eugene and Cecelia Lehman of Corning N.Y. Ten Grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sisters in law; Laura Lehman of Hornby, N.Y. and Jean Lehman of Lindley, N.Y. Also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by brothers; William Sheperd and Gerald Mason Sheperd. Grandsons Carl Knapp and Jeffrey Smith.
Friends may call at the Haughey Funeral Home 216 E. First St., Corning, N.Y., Monday January 16, 2006 from 12 noon - 2pm, with the American Legion Auxillary Memorial Service at 12:30pm. The Funeral Service will be at 2pm, Rev. James Ellis officiating. Committal and Interment will follow at Coopers Plains Cemetery, Coopers Plains, N.Y.
The family would appreciate Memorial Donations be given in Vivian's name to the charity of ones choice.
