Everett (Pete) Lehman Sr.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Everett L. (Pete) Lehman Sr., 85, of Beaver Dams RD 1.
He died Sunday August 31, 1980 in Corning Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1895 in Lock Haven, Pa., the son of David and Melinda Lehman. He married Nellie M. Kalmbach March 6, 1915 in Lock Haven. She died in 1975.
He was a yard Conductor for the New York Central Railroad, retiring in 1954, and was also associated with Kosty's Golf Course, Hornby.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four sons, LeVere of Corning, David R. of Coopers Plains, Everett Jr. of Utica and Lloyd of Hornby, with whom he resided; two daughters, Leuettea Brown of Pittsburgh, Opal Kimble of Corning; 22 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Carpenter Funeral Home today 7-9 p.m. The services there Wednesday will be at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Myron Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Heart Fund of the Hornby Volunteer Fire Department.
