In the Bible, God has given a clear explanation of what salvation is, and how to obtain it. He makes a gift of it to us merely for the asking! So, with Revelation rapidly approaching, are you ready?
Isaiah 55:6-7 (NKJV)
Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way. And the unrighteous man his thoughts: Let Him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 59:1-2 (NKJV)
Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have seperated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you. So that He will not hear.
Psalm 130:3-4 (NKJV)
If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with you, That You may be feared.
Isaiah 53:1-12 (NKJV)
Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has not form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted,
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed,
All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquities of us all,
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was lead as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not his mouth;
He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgresions of My people He was stricken.
And they made His grave with the wicked - But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth,
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief, When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors.
Jeremiah 17:14 (NKJV)
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise.
Joel 2:32 (NKJV)
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.
Hosea 13:4 (NKJV)
Yet I am the Lord your God Ever since the land of Egypt, And you shall know no God but Me; For there is no savior besides Me.
John 3:1-8 (NKJV)
There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with Him."
Jesus answsered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
John 5:22-24 (NKJV)
"For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,
that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son, does not honor the Father who sent Him.
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life.
Romans 4:4-8 (NKJV)
Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
just as David also described the blessedness of the man whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
"Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered;
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin."
Romans 5:1-2 (NKJV)
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom also we have access by faith into the grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
1 John 4:9-10 (NKJV)
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has send His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his only Son to be the propitiaton for our sins.
